How do volunteers get involved?

PISP has a data base of volunteers referred to as rights committees (RCs) or beneficiaries welfare committees (BWCs) in all the 114 sub locations in the county. They are mostly used for community mobilization and act as the link between the organization and the targeted communities. The RC is the term used under the governance programs while BWCs is used for the other programs. The volunteers are not fulltime employees but are engaged when the organization has an activity in their locality. During such engagements they are usually given some little stipends for their facilitation and as a sign of appreciation. The volunteers are persons who are locally based at the grassroots at the village levels.
