Supported by Helpage International, PISP plays the role of Social Protection Rights Component in the greater Marsabit County.
Concern is an international humanitarian organisation dedicated to tackling poverty and suffering in the world’s poorest countries. They work in partnership with the very poorest people in these countries thus directly enabling them to improve their lives. Concern Worldwide supports our Education, Child Survival programme, Marsabit Enhanced Action and Resilience (MEAR) and good governance programmes.
Saferworld is an international non governmental organisation that works in over 20 countries and territories around the world to prevent violent conflicts and build safer lives. Saferworld supports our Peace, Conflict Management and Election Peace and Security programs.
Forum SYD is a non-political NGO with offices in seven countries working with focus on issues of democracy, gender equality and sustainable use of natural resources. PISP has partnered with ForumSYD to work on the Wajibu Wetu program.
The European Commission (EC) is the executive body of the European Union responsible for proposing legislation, implementing decisions, upholding the EU treaties and managing the day-to-day business of the EU. Under the Water Sanitation and Hygiene Promotion for the Millenium Developement Goals, the commission supported us in Water Sanitation and Hygiene program to reduce water born diseases for the most vulnerable communities in rural areas of northern Kenya.
United Nations Children Fund is a united nations programme that provides humanitarian and development assistance to children and mothers in developing countries. Unicef supports our Education and Water Sanitation and Hygiene programs.
Cordaid is a civil society organization focusing on development and collaboration in vulnerable regions and areas of conflict. Their work helps people in disintegrated societies, vulnerable regions and areas of conflict to build flourishing communities. Cordaid supports our Drought Cycle Management, Disaster Risk Reduction, Water Sanitation and Hygiene, Peace and Conflict Resolution and Emmergency Intervention programmes.
Maji na Ufanisi is a national non governmental organization that is a leader in the water and sanitation sector, influencing resilience, governance, knowledge management and promoting best practices in environmental sanitation particularly water service delivery and hygiene promotion in Kenya. Maji na Ufanisi supports our Water Infrastructure Development and Capacity Building and Health programs.
PISP is also an active member of global, regional and local forums such as World Initiative for Sustainable Pastoralism (WISP), World Alliance for Mobile Indigenous People (WAMIP), Indigenous People’s National Steering Committee on Climate Change, County Steering Group (CSG), County Education Forum (CEF), County Water and Environmental Sanitation Coordinating Forum (WESCOORD), Marsabit County Non-State Actors Forum (MACNOSAF) and Marsabit Indigenous Organizations Network (MIONET).
