Overview
PISP uses lobbying and advocacy to promote pro-poor policies, good governance, and quality service delivery — including access to education for the communities it serves.
This programme addresses gaps in community knowledge of national policy reforms, corruption and mismanagement of public resources, and a lack of transparency and accountability in resource distribution. It promotes fairness and equity in resource allocation, ensuring marginalised groups — youth, women and persons with disabilities — participate in grassroots decision-making at village, ward and sub-county level.
Activities include training community members and leaders on civic rights, and public participation in devolved government functions and expenditure management.
